My Life As Sabrina

Sooo, as of 5/29/17, we’re still in the waiting place -_-

Taking life day by day; and trying to remind myself daily that things are exactly as they are meant and supposed to be. Trying so very hard not to rush the process – for, in the words of 50 Cent, “progress is a slow process;” and he ain’t ever lied about that. <– poor grammar, I know.

So far this Spring season has consisted of “officially” graduating from grad school, gotten to see and hear Priscilla Shirer and Anthony Evans, attended a conference for “Faculty Women of Color in the Academy,” finally gained my first “Little” in my Sorority <3, finally gotten a hairstyle that I love and feel confident in post-proton therapy radiation, went to a life and game changing symposium/conference regarding health and wellness in NC, and best of all, as of this past weekend, i’ve just gotten the best “new-to-me” vehicle that I could have ever hoped or prayed for! :-)… and that’s all been from just since March 20th – the First Day of Spring. So all things considered, i’m doing pretty well. Of course, I would like to fast track and avoid a few things, but that’s beyond my control.

I’m trying to learn the art of being content with where I am and with what I have.

Don’t get me wrong, it is a DAILY struggle, but just like I said in a previous post, “somehow i’ll escape all that waiting and staying and find the bright places where Boom Bands are playing…” because Dr. Seuss said so and dude is/was a straight up genius!
